Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually happening.
